Document Description
IEUA proposes to design and construct an approximately 100 gallon per minute Advanced Water Purification Demonstration Facility (AWPDF) for the Chino Basin Program (CBP). The AWPDF will be located in the existing Maintenance Building at IEUA’s RP-4 in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. The AWPDF will replicate the full-scale AWPF to support the development and optimization of the final AWPF design. It will also enable IEUA to engage and inform the public through an accessible educational program, demonstrate compliance and engage regulators, and act as a demonstration site to refine innovative treatment process enhancements.
After considering the available options for complying with CEQA regarding the above described project modifications, the District concluded that compiling an Addendum to the certified 2022 CBP PEIR would be the most appropriate way to comply with CEQA for the proposed project modifications. This approach justified the preparation of an Addendum to comply with CEQA for the proposed Modified Project. No other changes to the project evaluated in the 2022 CBP PEIR (Original Project) are envisioned at this time under the Addendum.
