Document Description
In 2024, the City of Hollister certified the Hollister 2040 General Plan, Climate Action Plan, and Agricultural Lands Preservation Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR), State Clearinghouse No. 2021040277, and approved the Hollister 2040 General Plan, Climate Action Plan (CAP), and Agricultural Lands Preservation Program (ALPP). The Modified Project consists of modifications to the previously approved Hollister Sphere of Influence (SOI), 2040 General Plan and associated land use map, CAP, and ALPP. The Modified Project reduces the extent of the SOI and accordingly revises the 2040 General Plan land use map. The modifications to the 2040 General Plan and CAP ensure consistency with State regulations and guidance. For projects that would convert agricultural land to non-agricultural uses, the modified ALPP requires dedication of eligible agricultural conservation easements at a rate of at least two acres for each one acre of agricultural land to be converted (2:1 ratio).
