Document Description
CEMEX proposes to modify the approved mining permit and reclamation plan for an existing off-channel mining operation, which includes: 1) extending the term of the permit approvals by 20 years; 2) allowing mining of more total tonnage; 3) increasing the allowed acreage of simultaneous disturbance; 4) increasing the allowed area for processing activities; 5) allowing overall reclamation to occur later, including for certain phases; 6) removing Phase 7 from the operation; 7) addressing inconsistencies in approved plans versus on the ground conditions; 8) modifying phase boundaries; 9) modifying reclamation plans to reclaim more area and modifying reclamation end uses to decrease the area of reclaimed agriculture and increase the area of reclaimed lake; 10) increasing the area of reclaimed habitat; and 11) modifying other approvals to be consistent with the request.
