Document Description
The Project will reconstruct approximately 1.5 acres of eroded tidal marsh and gravel beach, preserve and protect the approximately eight remaining acres of Tiscornia Marsh, and restore approximately four acres of diked marsh by reconnecting it to tidal inundation. The Project will also construct a new 600-foot levee on the south side of the existing diked marsh and improve approximately 1,100 feet of existing shoreline levee to achieve greater flood protection, public access, and habitat benefits. CDFW has determined that the Project is a Qualifying Restoration Project pursuant to section 1671(d)(1) of the Fish and Game Code, and the Project is expected to result in a substantial, cumulative benefit to native fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitat, or any combination thereof. This notice is to advise that CDFW issued the above-described RMP and has made the following determinations regarding the project pursuant to California Code of Regulations section 15096, subdivision (i).
