Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SON-56439-R3), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The project is limited to the construction of a new bridge and boardwalk as part of the construction of a public trail. A new 28-foot-long by 5-foot-wide wooden pedestrian bridge will be constructed over an intermittent drainage. The bridge will span the channel, with footings located outside of the channel and above the top of bank. The footings will be wood timber sills measuring 16 inches wide and 8 feet long, placed in a 10-inch-deep trench. The boardwalk construction will include a wooden bridge measuring 16 feet long by 5 feet wide and two 14-foot-long puncheons, all crossing a single wetland drainage complex, with footings located outside of the wetland drainage. The project will result in approximately 162 square feet of permanent impacts to riparian habitat and 286 square feet of permanent impacts to wetland habitat. No trees will be removed as part of this project. There will be no temporary impacts to riparian or wetland habitat as part of this project. All access and staging will occur along existing disturbed trails and roads.
