Document Description
The Project includes construction, operation, and maintenance of 2,000 acres of undeveloped land into a 200 megawatt (MW) solar energy facility with up to 184 megawatts alternating current of battery energy storage, and other associated electrical infrastructure.
The Project is expected to result in incidental take of the State candidate western burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia hypugaea) which is protected under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The Project is expected to cause permanent impacts to 1,518 acres of occupied habitat for western burrowing owl. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
