Document Description
To place erosion and scour protection at two existing bridges (Bridge Nos. 42C0104 and 42C0367) over Fresno Slough. Concrete slope protection and cutoff wall to be installed along the channel banks as an extension to the existing bridge structure. Rock Slope Protection (RSP) to be placed approximately 105 feet along the channel banks, abutments, and in channel piers. The project also includes treatments for both bridge decks and the installation of a new concrete approach slab at the east end of Bridge No. 42C0104. This permit supplements Permit No. 9876 that was issued to Fresno County Department of Public Works on 10/18/1974 to replace highway bridge across Fresno Slough on Excelsior Avenue, southwest of Riverdale.

The bridges are located where W. Excelsior Avenue crosses Fresno Slough along the borderline between Fresno County and Kings County, approximately 2 miles south of W. Mt. Whitney Avenue and 2.1 miles west of S. Cornelia Avenue, in Fresno County (36.4014°N, 119.924778°W), Fresno Slough, Fresno County.
