Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to address reoccurring congestion on SR 37 in Sonoma, Napa, and Solano counties where the highway narrows to one lane in each direction between SR 121 and Mare Island. A Supplemental EIR has been prepared to address project changes since the 2023 EIR/EA was finalized. Changes include: adding maintenance vehicle pullouts and CHP enforcement areas, adding traffic control and safety devices, adding changeable and extinguishable message signs, relocating the toll gantry, and enhancing the degraded marsh habitat at Strip Marsh East. Strip Marsh East enhancement is a nature-based solution to minimize SR 37’s vulnerability to flooding in the near-term and to minimize project impacts on wetlands, waters, and special-status species habitats. No new significant impacts would result from these project changes, and no new mitigation measures are required. There is no change to project determinations (see NOD).
