Document Description
The Applicant proposes to construct a new straight axis gravity concrete dam immediately downstream of the existing Vail Lake Dam. The replacement dam will be constructed so the resultant storage capacity and maximum reservoir level will be essentially equal to the capacity and elevation prior to the water level restriction, with a slight increase in lake surface area of approximately 0.66 acre between the existing dam and the proposed dam. The San Diego Water Board issued a Clean Water Act section 401 water quality certification (Certification No. R9-2025-0122) to the Project Applicant.
