Approval of Permit No. 19755, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To construct the State Route (SR) 70 Binney Junction Project which includes construction of a setback levee adjacent to the east finger levee to allow for the realignment of SR 70; installation of cutoff walls within the east setback and west finger levees and portions of the Marysville Ring Levee; construction of a pump station and discharge pipe through the west finger levee; removal or abandonment of portions of an existing culvert and remove an existing headwall crossing under the finger levee; removal of the existing pump station and discharge pipe; replacing the floodgate and pipe gate; realignment of a portion of the Marysville Ring levee in vicinity of new floodgate structure; realignment of portions of 24th Street to avoid project impacts to railroad and levee; removal of portions of an existing storm drain and the placement several drainage inlets to capture runoff; construction of new levee crown access ramp; replacement of the Marysville and Binney Junction underpass; placement of fill for the Union Pacific Railroad track relocation; lowering the roadway profile at the Marysville and Binney Junction underpass; and the use of land for a staging area adjacent to the east “finger” levee in Marysville along SR 70.
