Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an ITP (No. 2081-2019-029-06), pursuant to Section 2081(b) of the Fish and Game Code to San Bernardino County Transportation Authority. The Project entails the development of a new bikeway and pedestrian trail adjacent to and within the existing Orange Street. The Project will result in impacts to 7.17 acres of San Bernardino Kangaroo Rat (Dipodomys merriami parvus) and Santa Ana River Woollystar (Eriastrum densofolium ssp. sanctorum) habitat including temporary impacts of 4.43 acres; and permanent impacts of 2.74 acres. The project is expected to result in incidental take of San Bernardino kangaroo rat and Santa Ana River woollystar, which are designated as endangered species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
