Document Description
The Project is designed to both enhance and increase the size of available in-channel, off-channel and floodplain habitat within the Project Area. More specifically, the Project will create multiple side channels at varying elevations to connect Green Valley Creek to off-channel wetlands at a variety of flow levels; improve existing edge and in-channel habitat within Green Valley creek, revegetate the Project Area with a mix of herbaceous and woody native species; remove non-native vegetation from the Project Area; and expand the extent of seasonal herbaceous wetland through the side channels and alcoves. CDFW has determined that the Project is a Qualifying Restoration Project pursuant to section 1671(d)(1) of the Fish and Game Code, and the Project is expected to result in a substantial, cumulative benefit to native fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitat, or any combination thereof.
