Document Description
This project will restore approximately 0.3 miles of the East Fork Scott River and enhance access to approximately 7 miles of Coho critical habitat on the 6,000-acre Beaver Valley Headwaters Preserve (Preserve) on the East Fork Scott River, tributary to the Klamath River. This project will create benefits for other wildlife and native fish including Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, and Pacific Lamprey by improving habitat quality and proving additional resilience throughout a range of water year types, temperature regimes, and future conditions expected under climate change. It will also increase the quality and quantity of aquatic and riparian habitat including enhancing channel complexity, creating off-channel habitat, promoting floodplain connection, reducing sediment transport, and enhancing riparian corridors.
