Document Description
The Project includes a Nature-Like Fishway and other improvements to improve fish passage on the lower Yuba River at Daguerre Point. The Project is comprised of the Nature-Like Fishway channel, relocation of the existing South Canal Diversion Intake including replacement of the existing permeable rockfill fish exclusion structure with a modernized fish screen. filling of the existing South Canal Diversion head pond to create a sloping floodplain restoration area along the shoreline on the south bank of the river, construction and improvement of access roads, and operations and maintenance activities. Yuba County Water Agency (YCWA) adopted a California Environmental Quality Act analysis memorandum and determined the Project is wtthin the scope of the Statewide Restoration General Order Programmatic EIR on February 18, 2025. The memorandum also served as an addendum to the Programmatic EIR. Yuba Water Construction Authority, a joint powers authority between Yuba County and YCWA, acting as a responsible agency, now approves the project and adopts YCWA's analysis memorandum.
