Document Description
The Project is limited to three encroachments. The encroachments are for water diversion from three separate locations including Streeter Creek, an unnamed Tributary to Ten Mile Creek, and Ten Mile Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for the water diversions will include use of all three Points of Diversion (POD) and construction and maintenance of water diversion infrastructure at the Streeter Creek and unnamed tributary to Ten Mile Creek PODs. Work for the Streeter Creek and unnamed tributary to Ten Mile Creek PODs will follow the descriptions and design specifications provided in Attachments 1, 2, 3, and the Technical Memorandum: Black Oak Ranch Fish Screen Design and Construction NMFS Engineering Review. Work at the Streeter Creek POD will include excavation of the stream bed and bank, installation of a prefabricated concrete vault and fish screen; backfilling and compaction of soil to stabilize the vault, installation of rock armor, installation of large woody debris, and planting of native riparian vegetation to protect the streambank; and connection to the existing water and electrical systems. Work at the Unnamed Tributary to Ten Mile Creek will include excavation of the streambed and bank, installation of a Coanda Box POD and associated diversion piping, backfilling and compaction of soil to stabilize the POD, planting of native riparian vegetation to stabilize banks, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
