Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued a Permit for Recovery and Management (PRAM) pursuant to sections 2081(a) and 3511 of the Fish and Game Code to the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District for the Project. The Project will restore a section of the Carmel River approximately one-mile long. The Project will produce suitable foraging, nesting, and overwintering habitat for Crotch’s bumble bee, and suitable foraging and nesting habitat for white-tailed kite (collectively, Covered Species). The Project is estimated to take up to 15 Crotch’s bumble bee individuals in the form of capture, up to 15 Crotch’s bumble bee individuals in the form of incidental take, up to one Crotch’s bumble bee nest in the form of incidental take, and up to one white-tailed kite nest in the form of nest abandonment, potentially resulting in the incidental take of eggs and/or chicks. CDFW has determined and expects the Project will benefit, aid in the conservation of, and assist in the recovery of the Covered Species.
