Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is requesting a water quality certification (certification) for the Bucks and Grizzly Creek Gravel Augmentation Project (Project) to implement the Gravel Augmentation Plan (GAP) required by Condition 14: Gravel Augmentation of the Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project’s certification. The goal of the GAP is to improve trout spawning habitat and populations downstream of Project-affected reaches via the placement of gravel at two locations: (1) Bucks Creek, about 0.3 miles downstream of Lower Bucks Dam Spillway; and (2) Grizzly Creek, about 400 feet downstream of the Grizzly Creek gaging weir. PG&E is pursuing Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting coverage under United States Army Corps of Engineers Regional General Permit 16 - Aquatic Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Activities.
