Document Description
DPWD in partnership with the San Joaquin River Exchange Contractors Water Authority proposes to construct an 82,000-acre-foot reservoir in Del Puerto Canyon west of Patterson and I-5. Water would be conveyed from the Delta-Mendota Canal (DMC) and stored in the reservoir and discharged back to the DMC. Water would serve agriculture and potentially environmental purposes, such as wildlife refuges. The project includes construction of a main dam, three saddle dams, a spillway, inlet/outlet works, conveyance facilities (DMC diversion facility, pumping plant, pipeline and appurtenant components) and electrical facilities (power supply line and substation). The project includes relocating Del Puerto Canyon Road and existing utilities that run through the reservoir site.
