Document Description
The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC), in coordination with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is proposing to add high-occupancy vehicle (HOV)/express bus lanes along US Highway 101 (US 101) from post mile (PM) 4.1 to 30.9, within Ventura County, California. The project area traverses the communities of Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Oxnard, and Ventura from approximately State Route (SR) 23 to SR 33. The existing US 101 within the proposed project corridor consists primarily of three 12-foot-wide general-purpose (GP) lanes in each direction, with 12-foot-wide auxiliary lanes at spot locations. The US 101 project improvements include one HOV/express bus lane in each direction between Moorpark Road and SR 33, with auxiliary lanes where determined to be operationally beneficial.
