Document Description
The Trinity County Resource Conservation District (the District) is contracted to act as CEQA Lead Agency for the Watershed Research and Training Center (WRTC) for the review and analysis under CEQA regarding the proposed Hayfork Valley Project, utilizing the CalVTP PEIR and a Project-Specific Analysis (PSA) and Addendum to the CalVTP, authored by WRTC. The proposed project consists of wildland urban interface fuel reduction, ecological restoration and fuel break treatment types to address forest fuel orientation through thinning and fuel loading reduction through prescribed burning in order to create a more resilient forest condition. The project includes implementation of vegetation treatments on up to 15,055 acres of private land in Trinity County.
