Document Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention (CAL FIRE) would provide funding to Conservation Corps North Bay to support training and job placement in the forestry and fire workforces, intended to advance career development and increase diversity in California’s forestry and fire workforce. S-212 training courses will be
conducted including both manual and mechanical treatment activities. These activities are consistent with those evaluated in the CalVTP Program EIR and, pursuant to PRC § 4483, have been designed to avoid type conversion in areas where chaparral and/or coastal sage scrub plant communities may be present. Training activities may be conducted on up to 1,350 acres within the Sonoma Land Trust Preserves Vegetation Treatment Project, CalVTP Project Specific Analysis, in Sonoma and
Napa counties.
