Document Description
The Roadside Vegetation Management Project (project or proposed project) would improve approximately 194.75 miles of roads within the County by undergoing hazardous fuel treatment. The treatments would take place within a 10-foot buffer on either side of the drivable surface of County roads, totaling 436.8 acres of proposed treatment The project would reduce roadside vegetation in order to provide the public with safe, functional egress along these roads and mitigate wildfire threats during emergency evacuation. The project would result in improved evacuation outcomes for residents in both western and eastern Nevada County in the event of wildfire.
