Document Description
The project includes improvements to the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), including installation of a new headworks, screen, Parshall flume, grit removal chamber, selector, and lift station; construction of a new office/laboratory building; construction of a new dechlorination building with sodium bisulfite equipment and a dosing system; construction of a new solids handling building; removal of accumulated sediments from the percolation ponds; and raising the dikes around three of the percolation ponds; installing groundwater monitoring wells; and constructing a new outfall south of the existing outfall. The improvements will replace aging and inefficient equipment, improve the treatment process, and ensure compliance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board requirements.
