Document Description
In 2021, the City of Santa Cruz filed final petitions to change its water right Permits 16123 & 16601 and Licenses 1553, 7200, & 9847. The City requested changes in points of diversion, method of diversion, purposes of use, and places of use of its permits and licenses to improve the reliability and operational flexibility of the City's water supply system. The City has also requested to add flow requirements to its water rights that it negotiated in 2007 with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and National Marine Fisheries Service. In addition, the City has requested the State Water Resources Control Board approve a time extension through December 31, 2043 to complete beneficial use under Permits 16123 and 16601.
