Document Description
This Addendum No.1 to the SMUD Rancho Seco Solar II Project Environmental Impact Report (EIR) analyzes the environmental effects associated with minor changes to the location of the battery energy storage system (BESS) and addition of aboveground and underground collector lines and communication lines(referred to herein as project refinements) to determine if new or substantially more severe environmental impacts than those previously described in the EIR would occur. The project refinements analyzed in this Addendum No.1 consist of minor changes to the BESS footprint. The EIR included the BESS, which was proposed on the southeast side of the decommissioned nuclear towers, and is now being proposed on the north side of the towers, in an area which was not included in the study area evaluated in the EIR
