Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an ITP (No. 1927-ITP-2024-031-05), pursuant to Section 1927.3 of the Fish and Game Code to the City of Lancaster represented by Nicholis Godin. The Project is comprised of the development of infrastructure (roads) over 6.8 acres of vacant lots for future commercial, residential, medical, and restaurant uses. Road infrastructure consists of internal street network connections comprised of two-lane facilities with bike lanes and sidewalks. Project Activities include grading, paving, installing curb gutters, sewer, storm drains, streetlights, signing, striping, landscaping, and irrigation. The Project will result in incidental take of 11 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia) which are protected under the WJTCA and the California endangered Species Act (CESA). The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua trees that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
