Document Description
Approval of Minor Alteration No. WA2026044, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To replace the 30-inch irrigation siphon MID booster 5 lateral pipeline crossing. Site preparation consisting of trimming or removing vegetation within the construction corridor for equipment access and temporarily dewatering using coffer dams, pumping and/or diversion pipes as determined by the contractor. The pipe replacement will use the open-cut trench method to reach the pipeline. The existing irrigation conveyance pipe will be cut at the existing tie in points and removed and approximately 180 linear feet of 30-inch diameter rubber gasketed reinforced concrete, poly vinyl chloride, or high-density polyethylene pipe will be installed. The area around the sides of the pipe will be backfilled with 2-sack slurry up to approximately 5 feet below the channel invert and then backfilled with native material to bring the creek bottom up to the original elevation, with the top of pipe approximately 5 feet under the bottom of the creek. Disturbed areas temporarily impacted at the site will be restored to pre-project conditions once the replacement is complete.
