Document Description
The Veterans Memorial Building/Senior Center and Sequoia YMCA project, which was evaluated in the certified Final Environmental Impact Report for the project (SCH 2016112041), included a zoning map amendment to rezone the project site, demolition of existing improvements on-site, and construction of a new 45,000 square foot Veterans Memorial Building/Senior Center (VMSC) building, 35,000 square foot YMCA building, surface parking areas, and off-site traffic calming measures. An NOD was filed for the project on December 19, 2019. Minor modifications to the original project, which include an increase in the square footage total for the new YMCA building from 35,000 to 36,353, removal of a planned driveway on Valota Road and alterations to the surface parking arrangement, and clarification that 10,000 cubic yards of soil would be excavated and off hauled from the project site during construction of the improvements, have been approved via approval of an Architectural Permit for the new YMCA building and amendments to the Master Project Agreement.
