Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-SDO-65536-R5, pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, County of San Diego, Department of Public Works, as represented by Masha Landau.
The Project is limited to impacts to Keys Creek associated with the routine maintenance of the 4.44-acre Project area. Up to 0.51 acre will be routinely impacted during Tier 1 maintenance activities through the removal of sediment from the existing concrete low-flow channel and the cutting of vegetation down to 18 inches adjacent to the existing concrete low-flow channel. No more than 2.23 acres of southern willow scrub and/or freshwater marsh will be impacted due to sediment removal and vegetation flattening described in Tiers 2 through 5 within the 4.44-acre Project area.
Any temporarily impacted areas shall be restored to pre-activity elevations and contours. In the event that maintenance activities described as Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4, or Tier 5 are deemed necessary, Permittee shall mitigate for impacts through the creation, restoration, and/or enhancement of like habitat.
