Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an ITP (No. 1927-ITP-2026-013-06), pursuant to Section 1927.3 of the Fish and Game Code to County of San Bernardino. The project is limited to replacement of the existing Rock Springs Road bridge across the Mojave River with a new bridge and realignment of Rock Springs Road. The new bridge will be south of the existing bridge. Roadway improvements will be constructed to conform to the existing alignment of the road, improvements include curb, gutter, sidewalk and drainage improvements. The project will result in incidental take of 2 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia), which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of project implementation.
