Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-LAN-62042-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, City of Pasadena - Department of Water and Power. This Project is in response to a Notice of Violation (NOV) received by the City of Pasadena from the Los Angeles County Regional Water Quality Control Board, dated February 20, 2025. This Project is limited to sediment removal, bank stabilization, and revegetation efforts within the Arroyo Seco. This includes removing the earthen stream crossing connecting the trail to the earthen levee, removing earthen berms, removing all non-functioning sediment piles remaining from the 2023 emergency work, raising and reconstructing the trail with salvaged native soil, and protecting the trail from repeat washout with mechanical and biological stabilization methods. This Project is to be completed in fall 2025 before the rainy season begins.
