Document Description
The Project would capture, treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff from an 857-acre drainage area within the Ballona Creek Watershed to reduce pollutant loads to Centinela Creek, a tributary to the Ballona Creek Estuary, and provide aesthetic and recreational enhancements. Project components include an infiltration chamber, a diversion structure, a pretreatment device, a dry creek channel, and a bioretention area. The Project includes restoration and enhancement of park amenities disturbed by construction of stormwater facilities, such as play fields, trails, exercise areas, seating, signage, lighting, and parking lot improvements. The Project would relocate various utilities within the Park to accommodate the stormwater facilities. The Addendum has incorporated applicable mitigation measures from the MMRP, findings of fact, and statement of overriding considerations of the certified EWMP PEIR (May 2015) to ensure all potential impacts remain less than significant.
