Document Description
The project site is approximately 4.97 acres, of which 4.07 acres would be leased by the City to the applicant, JM Aviation. Improvements would also be constructed on .9 acres of adjacent land. The primary improvements are four individual metal aircraft hangars, totaling about 55,175 sf, containing a total of 14 aircraft storage bays. Two hangars would be subdivided into six individual bays each for storage of aircraft similar to a Citation 560 or King Air. A third would have a single storage bay for small aircraft, and the fourth would be a single large corporate storage hangar. Each hangar will have small restrooms and office spaces. Most aircraft to be stored will be relocated from other hangars within the Salinas Municipal Airport. Other improvements include parking, storm water features, and paving to enable runway ingress and egress access.
