Document Description
CRC proposes to drill new production well 13SEY-35S in the Elk Hills oil field, utilizing existing access. 13SEY-35S (35.27745100, -119.37557400) is being drilled on an existing well pad location, a 2-in flowline (700-ft) and a 3-in gas line (400-ft) will follow an existing pipeline. The proposed well is located on existing well pad but will require
the construction of a new sump resulting in 0.24 acre of permanent habitat disturbance. Several burrows were observed within the vicinity of the proposed sump. No sensitive species or their sign was observed during the biological pre-activity
survey. Per the EHOF ITP, a biological monitor is required for all vegetation removal, ground disturbing activities, and off road travel, should it occur. A 2-in flowline (700-ft) and a 3-in gas line (400-ft) will follow an existing pipeline corridor. Two road crossings will be required to install the pipeline and approximately 0.06 ac of habitat disturbance related to off-road travel is estimated for pipeline placement. In addition, the pipeline route will cross one dry ephemeral drainage. No impact to the drainage are anticipated. A new power pole and a new service pole will be placed at the edge of the existing location and result in no additional disturbance. All drilling and construction activities will be confined to the disturbed location/approved project areas, no parking or staging of equipment in habitat.
