Document Description
The Project consists of the implementation of the Former Dorris Lumber & Moulding Company Revised Interim Removal Action Workplan (RAW) to address soil impacted with chlordane, lead, and dioxins/furans identified in subsurface soils that exceed residential screening levels. The RAW is associated with a proposed redevelopment of the Site for which the City of Sacramento is the CEQA lead agency.
The site remediation activities consist of Soil Excavation and Offsite Disposal: Excavation of approximately 2,525 cubic yards of soil above residential screening levels from various locations across the Site. The approximate total area of soil disturbance activities is less than 1 acre and will range from 18 inches below ground surface (bgs) to six feet bgs.
The soil excavation, stockpiling, and confirmation sampling will take approximately five weeks and the off site disposal will take approximately three weeks requiring approximately 158 truck trips.
