Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SDO-59086-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, City of San Marcos. The Project is limited to the annual maintenance of stormwater facilities through the removal and trimming of vegetation; herbicide application; sediment removal; and trash, litter, and debris removal within and around 26 stormwater facilities. Activities are focused on channels/ditches, basins, and inlet/outlet drain structures for flood risk reduction. Vegetation removal would occur at inlets and outlets only to maintain storm flows. Non-native vegetation will be removed and native trees will be trimmed. At sites were water does not flow year-round, herbicide may be used to control vegetation. Sediment removal will return facilities to original depths, but no more than three feet of accumulated sediment will be removed at a single maintenance event. Mechanical equipment will be used at concrete-lined channels only.
