Document Description
The proposed project involves widening Yucca Trail from Palomar Avenue to La Contenta Road (approximately 1.1 miles) within a 100-foot-wide right-of-way. The existing two-lane roadway would be converted into a four-lane divided arterial with landscaped medians, curb, gutter, sidewalk, street lighting, bike and parking lanes, and new signing and striping. Concrete headwalls would be installed at drainage crossings to improve stormwater conveyance. Intersections with Palomar, Avalon, Camarilla, Del Monte, Hermosa, Indio, and La Contenta Avenues would be repaved to provide smooth transitions. The proposed project would pave and realign Indio Avenue within a 70-foot right-of-way. North of Sunnyslope Drive, pavement would be extended to SR-62 (approximately 0.5 mile), and at the southern end, Indio Avenue would be realigned about 150 feet west to match the alignment south of Yucca Trail. Improvements would include two travel lanes, shoulders, curb and gutter, drainage facilities, signage, and striping.
