Document Description
The Project is owned by Placer County Water Agency and is part of the Middle Fork American River Hydroelectric Project (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Project No. 2079). The Project includes extending the existing boat ramp on French Meadows Reservoir by approximately 365 linear feet to an elevation of approximately 5,177 feet (23 vertical feet lower than the bottom of the existing boat ramp). Boat ramp extension construction will include removing 12 inches of existing concrete, constructing a cold joint between existing and newly poured concrete, constructing a new 365-foot by 20-foot boat ramp extension, constructing a new 70-foot by 60-foot boat ramp turnaround, and installing 25-foot by 20-foot by 26-inch-deep rip-rap armoring at the end of the new section of boat ramp. The Project will include a staging area with a concrete washout area. The Project would be initiated in October of the first year in which water conditions allow for maintenance of a water surface elevation at or below 5,174 feet above mean sea level.
