Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed an amendment to Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-CCA-44206-R3), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Contra Costa Water District. The project is limited to measures to minimize golden mussel introduction into Walnut Creek or Pacheco Creek from discharge of untreated water by one or a combination of the following methods: percolation/desiccation of discharged water, discharging water into the Contra Costa Water Sanitation Sewer system, chlorination of the discharged water, and/or having all discharged water be filtered to capture golden mussel. Additionally, the amendment includes a golden mussel monitoring plan to identify species presence at monitoring locations along Walnut Creek and Pacheco Creek.
