Document Description
The Project proposes to replace-in-place approximately 3,235 linear feet (LF) (0.61 miles) of existing 24-rnch diameter cement mortar lined and coated steel (CMLCS) water mains with new 16-inch diameter water mains; install approximately 2,730 LF (0.52 miles) of new 16-inch diameter water main via open trench construction method, including all associated water services, fire hydrants, valves, water meters, curb ramps, paving and other appurtenances; abandon approximately 406 LF of 24-inch diameter CMLCS & asbestos cement (AC) water main; abandon approximately 3,840 LF of 4-inch diameter PVC water pipe currently servicing the San Diego Surf Sports Park located southeast of intersection of Via de la Valle and El Camino Real; and install approximately 35 LF of new 4-inch diameter PVC to reconnect the abandoned PVC pipe to the new 16-inch diameter water main.
Description of Previous Action/Project: The City of San Diego previously prepared a Mitigated Negative Declaration for Citywide Pipelines Projects (Project No. 255100). The Mitigated Negative Declaration was adopted by the City of San Diego City Council on November 30, 2011 (Resolution No. 307122)
