Document Description
Approval of Permit No. 15045-1, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To relocate an existing sewer line. The project will remove approximately 270 feet of an existing 6-inch sewer pipe that runs parallel to the levee, approximately 20 feet from the landside levee toe, and approximately 100 feet of an existing 3-inch sewer pipe that runs perpendicular to the levee at 1577 Garden Highway, authorized under Board Permit No. 15045. The new sewer line will consist of a 4-inch-diameter American Water Works Association (AWWA) C200 steel pipe. The new pipe will run westward, parallel to the levee along the waterside shoulder, for approximately 220 feet before crossing the levee for approximately 106 feet and connecting to an existing manhole located on the landside, outside of the levee section. The pipe invert will be above the 200-year Water Surface Elevation (36.37 feet, NAVD88) and will have 4 feet of cover beneath the levee crown. On the waterside, the pipe will extend an additional approximately 17 feet at an angle to the levee alignment before connecting to the existing 3-inch force main. The project also includes a new 4-inch gate valve, a new 1-inch air release valve, a 4-inch by 3-inch reducer, and three (3) WYE fittings with cleanouts. This permit, including its conditions, supersedes Permit No. 15045 GM that was issued to Laraine C. Patching of Virgin Sturgeon to install a 6-inch diameter sewer along the landside of the levee and through the left bank of the levee of the Sacramento River
