Document Description
Approval of Permit No. 20066, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To install twenty-four (24) new wooden Douglas fir poles (10 poles on the waterside and 14 poles on the landside), with heights ranging from 30 to 50 feet, set at depths ranging from 5 to 7 feet below grade along the Garden Highway Levee from Orchard Lane to Gateway Oaks Drive, and to install an overhead communication line along these poles. The overhead communication line includes 5,746 linear feet of overhead line to be attached to seven (7) existing SMUD poles (Board Permit No. 19637-1) and the proposed AT&T poles. Four overhead communication line crossings will maintain a minimum clearance of 23 feet above the top of the levee. A total of 125 linear feet of excavation will occur (approximately 60 feet from the landside toe and on the waterside slope) to place 4-inch plastic ducts near four (4) poles to connect to the existing underground infrastructure. This utility relocation work is associated with Natomas Basin Civil Works Project Reach A construction.
