Approval of Permit No. 2492-1, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To remove and upgrade an existing SMUD utility pole located at the landside levee toe, relocate it approximately 61-feet away from the existing landside levee toe, re-mount the overhead electric lines that cross the Natomas East Main Drainage Canal (NEMDC) onto the relocated pole which will be a new 77-foot tall, steel pole set to a depth of 9-feet below grade. The overhead electric lines operate at 69,000 and 12,000 volts and will maintain a clearance of 37.8 feet above the top of the levee. This utility work is associated with Natomas Basin Civil Works Project, Reach G. The existing poles and the overhead lines were authorized under a Board Permit No. 2492, issued to SMUD on March 20, 1957.
