Document Description
Approval of Permit No. 19960, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To remove existing aerial fiber optic cables located along the landside of the Garden Highway levee and install new aerial fiber optic cables from Gateway Oaks Drive to the Interstate 5 ramp, and from approximately 800 feet west of the Natomas Park Drive intersection to approximately 100 feet east of the Truxel Road intersection. A total of 2,068 linear feet of cable will be de-lashed and a total of 3,422 linear feet of new 6.6m steel strand will be placed on new SMUD poles (CVFPB Permit No. 19732). Additionally,
1,354 linear feet of new aerial fiber optic cable will be installed, along with new hand holes for cable placement. The work also includes trenching 106 linear feet to install one 4-inch HDPE duct to the new poles and placing new risers on the poles. Existing poles will be removed by SMUD under CVFPB Permit No. 19732. This utility work is associated with the Natomas Basin Civil Works Project, Reach I.
