Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Amendment No. 4 to Master Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2021-0005-R4, issued to the California Department of Water Resources. The Agreement authorizes activities related to stabilizing the downstream side of the existing B.F. Sisk Dam
embankment and increasing the dam crest height to reduce the potential for water to overtop the dam in the event of seismic-induced slumping/failure. The activities include construction, maintenance, restoration, and water drafting actions in lake, stream, and associated wetland areas. Amendment No. 4 increases impacts to stream areas by 3.775 acres and to wetland areas by 0.819 acres. The increase in stream impacts reflects new areas within existing stream feature types as well as all 0.662 acres previously included as temporary impacts that will change to permanent impact areas. CDFW is also including clarification to the Subnotification and reporting processes, for Covered Activities to be described within the mapped areas and acreages of each lake, stream, or wetland feature instead of using a tracked total acreage of project impacts. CDFW also includes corrections to acreages to display
numbers to the thousandths decimal place and to address language not updated consistently by CDFW in previous amendments.
