Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. 1600-2020-0121-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the California Department of Transportation. The proposed project will add HOV lanes (to northbound and southbound) to SR-101 between Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. The widening is proposed to occur in the existing median and beyond the existing outside shoulders. The improvements to Highway 101 would include noise-attenuating pavement surfacing and drainage improvements. The project has increased the permanent impacts and subsequently will compensate for this change with increased mitigation.
