Document Description
The project will occur within the greater Mustang Hills Wind Generation facility which is comprised of approximately 100 wind turbine generators and ancillary facilities on approximately 4,610 acres within Kern County. Specifically, the Project includes activities related to the repair of wind turbine No. VE249, which will disturb 0.46 acre. The Project will result in incidental take of 50 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifola) which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
