Document Description
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) would provide funding to the California Local Conservation Corps Foundation to support training and job placement in the forestry and fire workforces for local conservation corps, intended to advance career development and increase diversity in California’s forestry and fire workforce. S-212 training courses will be conducted including both manual and mechanical treatment activities. These activities have been evaluated by the East Bay Regional Parks District Environmental Impact Report (EIR) “Wildfire Hazard Reduction and Resource Management Plan” and may be conducted on up to 547.7 acres in Tilden Regional Park in Contra Costa County.
