Document Description
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) previously installed two permitted at-grade stream crossings, referred to as Arizona crossings, along the Haskell Canyon Switching Station access road that intersects Haskell Creek and an unnamed ephemeral man-made tributary to Haskell Creek. Following storm events, some rutting has been observed, and LADWP is proposing to address ongoing erosion concerns by installing articulated concrete blocks and rip rap at the two Arizona crossings. In addition, LADWP will remove a small pile of dirt that has filled in some erosion previously observed in the area, in preparation of the articulated concrete block installation. The areas of disturbance are depicted in the attached maps. The total area of disturbance for Crossing A is approximately 106 ft by 153 ft, and the totals for the two areas of disturbance for Crossing B are approximately 53 ft by 53 ft and 45 ft by 45 ft.
