Document Description
The Project involves the construction and operation of the UC Merced Campus and contiguous Community North. Major Amendment No. 4 adds the County of Merced as a third Permittee and clarifies multiple Conditions of Approval to ensure that measures are implemented as intended to minimize impacts to the species listed under CESA. Major Amendment No. 4 will not result in additional impacts to California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense), Swainson’s hawk (Buteo swainsoni), and San Joaquin kit fox (Vulpes macrotis mutica), all three species listed as threatened under CESA, or Succulent owl’s clover (Castilleja campestris ssp. succulenta), Colusa grass (Neostapfia colusana), and San Joaquin Valley Orcutt grass (Orcuttia inaequalis), all three species listed as endangered under CESA. The ITP, as amended, issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
